Lazaros Sidiropoulos

Lazaros is a Senior Associate at G. Mourgelas & Associates; he is member of the firm since 2008.
He specializes in Corporate Law, Energy and Environmental Law, Advertising and Media Law, Food & Beverages Law and Bankruptcy Law.
Lazaros has focused his practice, among others, on the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) sector, advising companies in dealings with regulatory issues and applications associated with the siting, construction and operation of RES projects in Greece. He also has significant experience in issues related to energy efficiency, environmental law enforcement and waste management.
He has assisted foreign and Greek clients in cases of Bankruptcy Law, including conciliation and restructuring procedures. Furthermore, he has been acting as advisor to a major multinational credit insurance company on Debt Recovery issues. Lazaros has recently advised HACA (Hellenic Association of Communication Agencies) on the Greek and Community legal framework for the advertising of online betting & gaming activities.
Lazaros has spoken at several professional conferences and has published in academic and business journals. He is representing G. Mourgelas & Associates as a member of the Scientific Committee for Energy Efficiency of IENE (Institute of Energy for South East Europe).
Lazaros is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 2002. He studied at the Law Department of the University of Athens (LL.B.), the Freie Universität Berlin and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main (LL.M.; Dr. jur.).
He speaks Greek, English and German fluently and has a moderate knowledge of French and Spanish.
