Eftychios Horiatakis

Eftychios is a Senior Associate at G. Mourgelas & Associates; he is a member of the firm since 2007.
He specializes mainly in Advertising, Energy and Environmental Law, Corporate Law, Sports Law, TMT, Data Protection and Intellectual Property Law.
Eftychios regularly advises HACA (Hellenic Association of Communication Agencies) with regard to issues on Media and Advertising (provision of legal opinions, representation before competent committees and courts, contracts, corporate structures and co-operations). He most recently advised on all aspects concerning the aggeliosimo, a social charge imposed upon mass media advertising.
He has also an extensive experience and expertise in energy law, particularly in RES, performing legal due diligence of licenses and companies and negotiating and drafting all contractual documents required throughout the licensing and implementation phase of the projects. His latest work includes contractual work and advice for the turn-key construction of a 9MW solar park. His environmental law practice includes dealing with issues related to trading of carbon credits and exploitation of respective rights and products.
Eftychios has focused on Sports Law, representing athletes in legal proceedings with their sports associations. His recent work also includes rendering of advice to a Dutch multinational on Greek legislation on traffic cameras and speed traps.
Eftychios is a member of the Athens Bar Association since 1992. He studied at the Law Faculties of the Universities of Athens (LL.B.), Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne (LL.M./D.E.A.; cand. Dr. iur.) and Paris II, Panthéon-Assas (LL.M./D.E.A.; Diplôme de l’Institut de Droit Comparé) and at the Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und Internationales Privatrecht of Hamburg.
He speaks Greek, English, French and German fluently and has a moderate knowledge of Italian.
